VOLUNTEERING AT AWARE

Most of the hands-on animal care at AWARE is done by volunteers. Our small animal care staff oversees up to 100 weekly volunteers as they carry out the cleaning, feeding, and medicating of up to 200 patients at a time. They come to our center in Stonecrest, just east of Atlanta, and commit to a weekly four-hour shift.

Animal care volunteer orientations are generally held monthly. If you would like to get your hands dirty and help some animals, you can read more about the animal care position or click the button below to apply!

We do also need volunteers for non-animal-care tasks such as data entry from time to time. Likewise, we accept some volunteers completing court-ordered community service. If you are interested in either of those roles, you can click the same button below and make the appropriate selections.
